Welcome to Vibe Translate. By downloading, installing, or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Vibe Translate is an AI-powered translation and rephrasing application that uses Google's Gemini AI to translate text between languages and rephrase text with different personality styles ("vibes"). The service provides two outputs: a literal translation and a personality-styled ("vibe") version.

2. Account Registration

To use Vibe Translate, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Vibe Translate to:

• Generate hateful, abusive, harassing, or threatening content
• Produce content that promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities
• Attempt to bypass safety guardrails or content filters
• Use the service for automated or bulk translation without authorization
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. AI-Generated Content

Translations and rephrases are generated by AI and may not always be perfectly accurate. Vibe Translate is intended for casual, personal communication. Do not rely on Vibe Translate for legal, medical, financial, or other critical translations. We are not responsible for any errors, misunderstandings, or consequences arising from AI-generated translations.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Free Tier

Free users receive a limited number of translations per day. The daily limit may change at our discretion.

Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions are available on a weekly or yearly basis and provide unlimited translations, access to all personas, and full translation history.

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings

Free Trials

If offered, free trial periods automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial expires. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

6. Intellectual Property

The Vibe Translate app, including its design, code, graphics, personas, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the text you submit for translation. You grant us a limited license to process your text solely for the purpose of providing the translation service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Vibe Translate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that translations will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Vibe Translate, including but not limited to damages arising from inaccurate translations, service interruptions, or data loss.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or our website. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Vibe Translate at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
