Vibe Translate ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier. We use this to create and manage your account.
Translation Data
We process the text you submit for translation using Google's Gemini AI service (via Firebase Vertex AI). Your translation text is sent to Google's servers for processing and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We store your translation history on our servers so you can access it across sessions.
Device Information
We collect a unique device identifier to manage free translation limits. This identifier is stored securely on your device and does not personally identify you.
Analytics Data
We use Mixpanel to collect anonymized usage analytics, including which features you use, screen views, and app events. This helps us improve the app experience. No translation content is included in analytics data.
Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment information directly. RevenueCat receives a unique user identifier to manage your subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage & Security
Your account data and translation history are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Custom personas are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, remote configuration, and AI processing
- Mixpanel — Analytics
- RevenueCat — Subscription management
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of your data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and translation history for as long as your account is active. You can delete your translation history at any time from within the app. If you wish to delete your account entirely, please contact us at the email below.
6. Children's Privacy
Vibe Translate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app or on our website. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
